Public Participation

The Chair of the Parish Council will invite members of the public to present their questions, comments and petitions submitted under the Council’s Public Participation Procedure at the start of the meeting. Please note that the Clerk will record the names of those wishing to address the Council together with the subject matter prior to the start of the meeting and each speaker will be permitted 3 minutes in which to address members. Members are reminded of their obligations under the Code of Conduct.

2022/72                Apologies for Absence

To note apologies for absence and consider reasons given.

 

2022/73                Declarations of Interest and Dispensations to Participate

a)         To receive declarations of interest in respect of matters contained in this agenda, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 in respect of officers and the Localism Act 2011 in respect of members.

B)      To receive any dispensation requests received by the Parish Clerk and not previously considered.

 

2022/74            Minutes of Council Meetings

 To confirm and sign as a correct record the minutes of a meeting of the Parish Council held on 15^th November 2022 (copy attached).

 

2022/75           Code of Conduct

To confirm for adoption the NALC Model Code of Conduct (November minutes refer; copy attached for reference).

 

2022/76                Wiltshire Council Report 

To receive a report from Cllr Prickett.

 

2022/77                Highways/Environment

a)  Parish Environment including:

a.       Litter picking – to appoint a volunteer to co-ordinate a spring litter pick.

b) Highways including:

a.       Blind Lane & Wesley Lane – to discuss speed & volume of traffic.

b.       Poplar Lane Traveller site – to discuss the illegal vehicle cccess and hedgerow removal.

c.       Winsome Street – to note the collapsed road drain and agree action required.

d.       Baptist Church request for a road sign – to receive an update from Cllr Prickett.

 

2022/78                Planning Applications, Decisions and Consultations

 

PL/2022/09661 - The Barn, Norris Hill Farm, Silver Street Lane, Brokerswood, BA13 4EY - Demolition of existing building and replacement with new building to provide annexed accommodation

 

To receive and consider planning applications received after the issue of the agenda (where the response time falls outside of the meeting schedule and an extension cannot be obtained).

a)     To receive and note the Bank Reconciliation and Consolidated Financial Position Statement as at December 2022 (attached).

To receive any updates on the recent review of the current website – Chair to report.

2022/82                The Coronation of HM The King

To consider appointing a volunteer to co-ordinate events to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III in May 2023.

2022/83                Neighbourhood Development Plan – Review 

To receive any available updates – Chair to report.

 2022/84                Correspondence

To note any items of correspondence: None at time of issue.

2022/85                Southwick Village News

To appoint a volunteer to co-ordinate future editions of the Village Newsletter.
