Public Participation

The Chair of the Parish Council will invite members of the public to present their questions, comments and petitions submitted under the Council’s Public Participation Procedure at the start of the meeting. Please note that the Clerk will record the names of those wishing to address the Council together with the subject matter prior to the start of the meeting and each speaker will be permitted 3 minutes in which to address members. Members are reminded of their obligations under the Code of Conduct.

To note apologies for absence and consider reasons given.

 

2023/65                Declarations of Interest and Dispensations to Participate

a)         To receive declarations of interest in respect of matters contained in this agenda, in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972 in respect of officers and the Localism Act 2011 in respect of members.

b)      To receive any dispensation requests received by the Parish Clerk and not previously considered.

 

2023/66            Minutes of Council Meetings

 To confirm and sign as a correct record the minutes of a meeting of the Parish Council held on 19^th September 2023 (copy attached).

To receive a report from Cllr Prickett.

2023/68                Highways/Environment

To receive any updates or reports on matters relating to:

a)   Parish Environment including:

a.       Helibeds site – update from the Clerk (correspondence attached)

b.       Dog bins – previous minutes refer

c.       Fly tipping and access to footpaths

d.       Overgrown hedges Southwick – North Bradley

e.       Playing field play equipment

b) Highways including:

a.       Available updates on parking in Chantry Gardens (previous minutes refer)

b.       Speed Indicator Device- any available updates (Sept minutes refer)

c.       LHFIG requests for parking restrictions – Cllr Carey to report

2023/69                Planning Applications

 PL/2023/07807 - The Lodge Stables, Hoggington Lane, Southwick, Wilts, BA14 9NR - Certificate of lawfulness for use of Groom’s Flat as unrestricted residential accommodation falling within Class C3 (dwelling house)

 To receive any available updates from Gainsborough regarding the status of the application for land at Wesley Lane.

 To receive and consider planning applications received after the issue of the agenda (where the response time falls outside of the meeting schedule and an extension cannot be obtained).

b)    To consider the addition of the Parish Clerk as a bank signatory – Chair to report
