Southwick Country Park

The Parish is fortunate in having the Southwick Country Park within its boundary.  This offers opportunities for walking and running and, importantly, has a hard path that can accept normal wheelchairs and buggies.  It is situated on the Frome Road (A361) just before the road runs into Trowbridge.  The Park is owned and maintained by Wiltshire Council with a lot of regular volunteer help from the Friends of Southwick Country Park and, occasionally, others.

If you are interested in knowing more about the park and perhaps helping, then checkhttp://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisureandrecreation/parksandopenspaces/countryparks.htm?cp=CP_SOUT&ac=show .  If you would like to see the sort of activities that go on in the park, go tohttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Southwick-Country-Park/137518889628295 .

If you are interested in an organised run on Saturday mornings, find more information athttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Southwick-Country-Park/137518889628295 .

An application is being made to make the park a Local Nature Reserve.
